Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Color Sort Puzzle (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is a completely free puzzle game with no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and minimal data collection.
Information Collection

The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Photos, contacts, or other device content
- Financial or payment information
- Health or fitness data
- Browsing history or communications
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device only using the device’s built-in storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device:
- Game progress: Current level, stars earned, best move counts, completion status
- Player profile: XP total, current rank, achievement unlock status
- Preferences: Selected theme, sound/music settings
- Streak data: Daily login streak count and last play date
- Speed-run records: Best completion times for individual levels
- Hint status: Available hint count and regeneration timestamps
Use of Data
All data stored by the App is used exclusively to:
- Save your game progress so you can continue where you left off
- Track your level completion, stars, and achievements
- Maintain your XP and rank progression
- Remember your display and audio preferences
- Manage hint availability and regeneration timers
We do not use any data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the core gameplay experience.
Data Storage and Security
All game data is stored locally on your device using the operating system’s standard preferences storage mechanism. No data is stored on external servers, except leaderboard entries as described below.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored game data will be permanently deleted.
Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google)
The App uses Google Firebase for the following features:
- Firebase Authentication: Anonymous sign-in only. A randomly generated user ID is created to identify your leaderboard entries. No personal information (name, email, phone) is collected or required.
- Cloud Firestore: Stores leaderboard data including your display name (rank title), XP score, move counts, and anonymous user ID. This data is publicly visible on the leaderboard.
Firebase may collect basic technical data (IP address, device type) as part of its standard operation. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
The App does not use:
- Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
- Advertising networks (e.g., AdMob)
- Social media SDKs
- Crash reporting services
- Attribution or tracking services
- Payment processors
Leaderboard Data
When you complete a level, the following data may be submitted to the online leaderboard:
- Anonymous user ID (auto-generated, not linked to any personal identity)
- Display name (your in-game rank title, e.g., “Apprentice”)
- XP total and move count
- Timestamp of submission
This data is used solely to populate the public leaderboard and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
The App is suitable for users of all ages. Because the App does not collect personal information from any user, it complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.
We do not:
- Collect personal information from children under 13
- Display advertisements to any users
- Offer in-app purchases
- Include links to external websites within the game interface
- Enable user-to-user communication
Parents and guardians can feel confident that their children can use this App safely.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose any user data to any third party for any reason, because we do not collect personal data.
Your Rights
Under GDPR (European Economic Area)
Since the App does not collect, process, or store personal data on external servers, the following rights are inherently satisfied:
- Right of Access: No personal data is collected or stored externally.
- Right to Rectification: No personal data exists to correct.
- Right to Erasure: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. You may also request deletion of your leaderboard data by contacting us.
- Right to Restrict Processing: No personal data is processed.
- Right to Data Portability: No personal data is collected that could be ported.
- Right to Object: No personal data processing occurs to object to.
Under CCPA (California)
- Know what personal data is collected: We collect no personal data.
- Request deletion: No personal data is stored externally. Uninstall the App to remove all local data.
- Opt out of the sale of personal data: We do not sell any data.
- Non-discrimination: Not applicable, as no data is collected.
We do not sell personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
Data Retention
All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. To delete all data associated with the App, simply uninstall it.
You may also clear the App’s local data through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > General > iPhone/iPad Storage > Color Sort Puzzle > Delete App
- Android: Settings > Apps > Color Sort Puzzle > Storage > Clear Data
International Data Transfers
The App does not transfer personal data internationally. Leaderboard data stored in Firebase may be processed in Google’s data centers. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and notify users of material changes through app store update notes.
